Are you serious? There’s no way you could have actually been following the same sport of baseball that everyone else had. You say that you had lost track of Bonds, and then when McGwire and Sosa were hitting homeruns, all of the sudden Bonds’ “hitting picked up”?? Go back and look at Bonds’ stats from every year he has played, and you will notice that he has been consistently one of the best players the game has seen. Bonds did not all of a sudden become great when you noticed him in 2001. Take a look at his stats and ALL of the records he holds – not just homeruns – before you make these kinds of statements.

How could you not know that Bonds was still playing? You really know nothing about baseball if that is the case.
