This is Parcells’ fourth year with the Cowboys; he likely has them playoff bound finally.

Gibbs is in his third year of his second stint with the Redskins. So far, they’re awful.

If, after two years, you haven’t completely turned your team around and made them playoff contenders, you’ll get fired. (Except for Mike Nolan, who apparently has Something Special that keeps the 49ers from even THINKING about firing him.)

Winning out last season helped, but the Culpepper fiasco didn’t, nor did the fact that Drew Brees is having an Offensive-Player-Of-The-Year-Except-That-LT-Is-Even-Better season.

Next year is Saban’s last chance. He has to retain his veterans, get some serious help for Joey Harrington, upgrade the O-Line even more, and use the off-season to shore up the secondary. If he doesn’t do even one of those things, I guarantee he won’t get a fourth season with the Dolphins.
