I watched Javy play here in Atlanta for many years. I have no doubt that he has a few good years left. He was a class act here, as he was in Baltimore and his short stay in Boston. Bringing Ramon Hernandez on board in Baltimore could have caused great strife in the Orioles locker room, but in typical Javy fashion, he welcomed him aboard. Javy will not only be "driven" this year, but he will win the hearts of Rockies fans. He is a quiet fellow, but his competitive nature is intense. As a long time Javy fan and MLB extra innings subscriber, I will be up late this season watching Rockies games on the tube and at Turner field when they come to Atlanta.
