What About asking Dan Marino to coach, He would be a excellent choice. Dan knows the system and a Ferousis motivator, he has soul.

Dennis Green should not be allowed to coach anymore. Dude can’t decide on a QB — over his tenures as head coach, he’s shifted QBs around faster than a con man moving the cups with the pea underneath. Daunte and Joey and Cleo aren’t exciting enough to create a QB controversy over.

The franchise needs a coach who’s proven that he can build a team from the ground up if necessary. Hard to find. But maybe, just maybe, Tom Coughlin might be a good choice. Unlike a lot of teams, the Dolphins don’t have a lot of primadonna players, and Coughlin is the kind of guy who hates that BS — he only put up with it in New York because it was New York and you can’t be popular there without being a primadonna.

Jim Mora Jr probably would be good — I bet he can gameplan around a traditional rollout QB like Lemon or a pocket passer like Harrington or an occasional runner like Daunte a lot better than he could around the inaccurate, undependable Mike Vick.

as the Dolphins head coach. Since leaving Miami, Bates was Green Bay defensive coordinator in 2005. I heard on ESPN that he took a sabbatical or leave from football in 2006. If I were Miami, I’d consider Bates, Green and Carroll. Cross posted at OTB Sports
