I moved up to these parts four and a half years ago. Indeed, I lived about three miles from the Redskins training facilities in Ashburn my first couple years up here.

The odd thing is that, next to the Redskins, the Cowboys are by far the team with the biggest fan base here, at least as measured by paraphernalia displayed. The Cowboys and Steelers have giant national fan bases owing to their prominence in the 1970s, when the NFL really took off as the biggest spectator sport.
