a good sumary of events so far and some interesting reflections on the second half of the Eastern Conference and the race for the playoffs.

The Rochester goalie I think you meant is Mike Brodeur, who I believe just signed a 1 year contract with the Amerks. They see him as a solid AHL goalie with potential for the next step.

Perhaps you are right – maybe he’ll replace Andy as back-up next season. Either that or Vokie might be traded and Andy be given the chance as No.1. It will be interesting to see what will happen nonetheless…

As for the playoffs I’d personally discount Toronto, as Brian Burke is expected to trade some stars, shed salary and get some picks before the trade deadline.

And you’re right. It will be important not to get the last seventh or eighth spost, if indeed Panthers do qualify at all, as the Bruins look unbeatable at the moment. Wouldn’t like to meet the Caps either, but any other team they’d have a fair chance against I think.

That’s far and away however, many games to play, but one can daydream a little…

Thumbs up on a good post!
