I dont understand how they manage to ignore the lone voice of reason, but they do it all the time,, except when he manages to get the point out in front of the people, then the idiots laugh & pretend its foolishness. & the Dumb Masses are so stupid they accept it, since its coming from the Gods who sit behind desks spreading lies..
Wake up,, We are going DOWN,, support Ron Paul,

Comment on NFL Draft 2011 Round 1 #3 Buffalo Bills DT Marcell Darreus by deron http://sports.outsidethebeltway.com/2011/04/nfl-draft-2011-round-1-3-buffalo-bills-dt-marcell-darreus/comment-page-1/#comment-389629 deron Fri, 29 Apr 2011 01:39:59 +0000 http://sports.outsidethebeltway.com/?p=10336#comment-389629 This draft should be interesting, but would be more interesting if teams could trade players for picks. Hopefully the teams will improve upon their ability to get value for their draft position. There have been some real busts over the years, Leaf and Russell, just to name two. Over the past 15 years or so, Pittsburgh has gotten the most value for its picks and Detroit has gotten the least.

PLEASE, PLEASE FIRE WADE PHILLIPS — THIS SEASON IS A REPLAY OF LAST SEASON — SAME OLD PENALTIES, PLAYERS NOT RUNNING THEIR ROUTES!
WADE PHILLIPS IS A VERY POOR EXCUSE FOR A HEAD COACH –ESPECIALLY FOR AMERICA’S TEAM — HE IS AN EMBARRASSMENT TO THE COWBOYS AND TO OUR CITY.

Comment on Fire Wade Phillips Today by Chad Thatcher http://sports.outsidethebeltway.com/2010/09/fire-wade-phillips-today/comment-page-1/#comment-382231 Chad Thatcher Mon, 20 Sep 2010 04:28:14 +0000 http://sports.outsidethebeltway.com/?p=10171#comment-382231 I couldn’t agree more! With all the talent on the team, Wade just can’t pull it together. As a fan for the last 38 years, I’m sick of seeing Jerry Jones drag this team down by sticking by Wade Phillips. Please Jerry, the writings on the wall!

Comment on Mark Webber wins the British Grand Prix by Franklin http://sports.outsidethebeltway.com/2010/07/mark-webber-wins-the-british-grand-prix/comment-page-1/#comment-376179 Franklin Tue, 13 Jul 2010 17:34:59 +0000 http://sports.outsidethebeltway.com/?p=10003#comment-376179 I watch most F1 races, where on-track passes for the lead are indeed somewhat rare, but very exciting when they happen. It is a different cup of tea compared to NASCAR or the IRL, where passes mean nothing because they happen several times per lap. Personally, I would enjoy something in between these two extremes.

Yeah, people also watch for crashes, the parties, the technology, and some of the off-track drama.

Comment on Stephen Strasburg Impresses In Major League Debut by Bill Jempty http://sports.outsidethebeltway.com/2010/06/stephen-strasburg-impresses-in-major-league-debut/comment-page-1/#comment-371600 Bill Jempty Wed, 09 Jun 2010 15:54:16 +0000 http://sports.outsidethebeltway.com/?p=9937#comment-371600 I expect Strasburg to come up with a lame arm by the time he is 25.

He’s 21 and his arm isn’t mature.

Washington is a terrible club and seeking solutions and will overuse Strasburg

Strasburg’s first outing was excellent, so the club is not likely to turn back to a more patient course with this pitcher.

Baseball history has a long list of pitchers who came out gangbusters Dwight Gooden, Steve Busby, Wally Bunker, Mark Fidryich, and more but faded rapidly usually due to arm woes. If I recall correctly, Bill James said the only HOF pitcher to have impact as a rookie was Tom Seaver.

Tickets like that are worth something if they were actually used, maybe.

Tampa Bay two times in a row and then Florida.

BTW the NY Mets and San Diego Padres are still looking for their first franchise no-hitters.

Comment on Se Ri Pak wins the Bell Micro LPGA Classic by Mike Southern http://sports.outsidethebeltway.com/2010/05/se-ri-pak-wins-the-bell-micro-lpga-classic/comment-page-1/#comment-369120 Mike Southern Mon, 17 May 2010 16:36:36 +0000 http://sports.outsidethebeltway.com/?p=9829#comment-369120 If I understood TGC correctly, Pettersen would have become #1 if she won the tournament and none of the players ahead of her placed better than 4th — and none of them were even close.

Se Ri has been “lost” to most reporters since Annika went to the top and the “young guns” showed up. I think you could make a case that Karrie Webb has suffered the same fate. There seems to be a tendency to write off the “legends,” especially if they aren’t American. (Juli Inkster — who I think is still awesome — is viewed more like Fred Couples or Tom Watson, who, of course, are also both American.)
