Saints Grab Two More Ex-Cowboys
Sean Payton learned one thing from Bill Parcells, at least: How to sign players from a team you used to coach. Todd Archer reports that, “The former Cowboys assistant turned New Orleans head coach claimed Rob Petitti and Terrance Copper off waivers and both are now Saints. Petitti and Copper were the only players the Cowboys cut to be claimed Sunday.”
Both are solid players. Petitti, especially, will be a tough loss for the Cowboys considering that the team kept an aging, injury prone free agent signee over the up-and-coming youngster. They join linebackers Scott Fujita and Scott Shanle and Defensive Coordinator Gary Gibbs from last year’s Cowboys roster.
